Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, was born on July 16, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. He developed an interest in music from a young age, recording songs as a teenager before signing with Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), where his career began to flourish.

Wizkid gained nationwide recognition in 2010 with his breakout single Holla at Your Boy from his debut album Superstar. The album established him as one of Nigeria’s leading young artists.

In 2013, he founded Starboy Entertainment, creating a platform for his music and supporting emerging talent.

Wizkid achieved global success through collaborations with international artists including Drake, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Skepta, Future, and Tems.
