Skyface SDW is a Ghanaian rapper and songwriter associated with the Asakaa (Ghanaian drill) movement that emerged from Kumasi. Known for his gritty lyricism and collaborations with fellow Asakaa artists, he has become one of the prominent voices in Ghana’s modern drill scene, building a growing catalogue of solo releases and featured tracks.
Career
Born Solomon Boachie Adubofour, Skyface SDW was raised in Kumasi, the heart of the Asakaa movement. He gained recognition as a member of the Asakaa Boys, the collective credited with popularising Ghanaian drill by blending UK and US drill influences with local languages, culture, and storytelling. His distinctive image—often covering his face—places greater emphasis on his music rather than his personal identity.

Skyface SDW’s music combines drill, hip-hop, and Ghanaian street culture. His lyrics frequently explore ambition, hardship, neighbourhood life, loyalty, and relationships.
