Medikal is a Ghanaian rapper and songwriter known for blending hip-hop, Afrobeats, and Hiplife with witty wordplay and street-inspired storytelling. He has become one of Ghana’s most recognisable rap artists through charting releases, major collaborations, and award-winning performances.
Career
Born Samuel Adu Frimpong in Sowutuom, a suburb of Accra, Medikal developed an interest in rap at an early age. His stage name reflects his fascination with medical themes in his early lyrics. After signing with AMG Business, he gained national attention with songs such as “Confirm”, which featured Sarkodie, and went on to establish himself as one of the leading voices in Ghanaian hip-hop.
