Biography
Kuami Eugene (born Eugene Kwame Marfo on 1 February 1997) is a Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He rose to national attention after finishing third in the fifth season of MTN Hitmaker in 2016 before signing with Lynx Entertainment, becoming one of Ghana’s leading contemporary highlife artists.

Career
Kuami Eugene developed an interest in music from childhood, singing in church and learning to play the drums, keyboard, and guitar. Following his breakthrough on MTN Hitmaker, he released a string of successful singles, with “Angela” becoming a major commercial hit and helping establish his reputation across Ghana and beyond. He has since performed at major concerts in Ghana as well as international events in cities including London, Amsterdam, and New York.
Musical style and achievements
His music blends highlife, Afrobeats, and Afropop, often combining melodic hooks with contemporary production while also producing and writing songs for other artistes. He has earned multiple honours at the Ghana Music Awards, including New Artiste of the Year, Highlife Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, and the prestigious Artist of the Year award in 2020.
