Asake is one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he developed a passion for music and dance from an early age. Before becoming a full-time musician, he studied Theatre and Performing Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he honed his performance skills.

Asake began attracting attention with freestyle videos and independent music releases. In 2022, his career took off after signing with YBNL Nation, the record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide. The partnership helped him reach a global audience.

His breakthrough single “Omo Ope” featuring Olamide became a massive hit, followed by chart-topping songs such as “Sungba,” “Peace Be Unto You (PBUY),” “Joha,” and “Terminator.” His debut album, Mr. Money with the Vibe, became one of Africa’s most successful albums and established him as an international star.
