Early Life

Jackline Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie, was born on December 16, 1999, in Kumasi, Ghana. She is the daughter of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Acheampong. Growing up in a musical family inspired her passion for singing and songwriting from an early age. She later studied International Business at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Gyakie began her professional music career in 2019 with Love Is Pretty. Her international breakthrough came in 2020 when Forever, from her debut EP Seed, topped charts across Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. The remix featuring Omah Lay further expanded her global audience.
