Rema is one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars. Born in Benin City, he discovered his passion for music at a young age. His journey to fame began in 2018 after a freestyle video he posted on Instagram caught the attention of music executive D’Prince, who signed him to Jonzing World, a label affiliated with Mavin Records.

He rose to prominence in 2019 with his hit song “Dumebi,” which quickly became one of Nigeria’s biggest songs. His unique sound, which he describes as Afrorave, blends Afrobeats with trap, pop, and influences from Arabic and Indian music.
