Biography


KiDi, born Dennis Nana Dwamena on August 18, 1993, is a Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats singer, songwriter, and producer. He is one of the most successful modern Ghanaian musicians known for his smooth vocals, romantic songs, and energetic performances.

KiDi was born in Accra, Ghana, and attended Accra Academy before studying Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana. During his university days, he performed at music events and talent platforms, which helped him develop his musical career.

His breakthrough came after winning the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015, which earned him a recording deal with Lynx Entertainment. He later became famous with hit songs like “Odo,” “Adiepena,” “Touch It,” and “Enjoyment.”

KiDi’s hit song “Touch It” became a global success and gained millions of streams and TikTok videos worldwide. Over the years, he has collaborated with top African artists including Davido, Wizkid, and Stonebwoy.

He has won several awards, including the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the Ghana Music Awards in 2022. Fans also know him by nicknames like “Sugar Daddy” and “Golden Boy” because of his love-themed music style.

Today, KiDi remains one of the leading voices in African music and continues to entertain fans with his unique blend of Afrobeats and highlife music.
