Davido Releases New Album Oriadé as He Enters His ‘Crown Era’

Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially released his sixth studio album, Oriadé, a project he describes as the beginning of his “crown era.” The album title, derived from Yoruba, reflects themes of destiny, royalty, and personal growth.

The 13-track album includes collaborations with artists such as Black Sherif, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Llona, and others, highlighting Davido’s commitment to blending African sounds with global influences.

Speaking about the project, Davido said he wanted to return to the authentic African sound that first introduced Afrobeats to the world rather than chasing international validation.
